From its inception, the YWCA has worked to empower women. Soon thereafter, eliminating racism—wherever it exists, by any means necessary—became a part of their core as well. YWCA Greater Cleveland leaders are continuing to tackle barriers related to gender, age, class, race, and all forms of discrimination.
