Dr. Aleece Caron is a Co-Investigator of the Postdoctoral Training in General, Pediatric and Public Health Dentistry and Dental Hygiene project which has been awarded a $450,000 HRSA Grant. The project’s Principal Investigator is Dr. Victoria Barany Nunez in MetroHealth’s Dentistry Department. It has 4 main goals: expand postdoctoral training, improve access to dental care in underserved communities, enhance interprofessional collaboration between dentistry, primary care, and behavioral health, and prepare dentists to address social determinants of health. Additionally, a sub-award will be issued to Kent State University to support the Master of Public Health (MPH) program for selected residents, led by Dr. Sonia Alemagno.
