Asthma, Indoor Air Pollution, and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Through funding from the Environmental Protective Agency, we are working on a new project looking at asthma, indoor air pollution and gas stoves.  MetroHealth, along with several local community organizations, will identify 1,200 Cleveland-area households with at least one resident with asthma and work with them to reduce indoor air pollution. They will replace gas ranges with electric ranges, upgrade kitchen electrical systems as needed, and improve kitchen ventilation.  Please review our flyer and call if you are interested and believe you may qualify!

About CHEEER

The Center for Health Equity Engagement Education and Research was established by Case Western Reserve University and MetroHealth Medical Center to reduce health disparities through research on root causes, mechanisms, and interventions; through education of students, providers, and policy makers; and through partnership with community organizations and government agencies.

The aims of this Core are to facilitate community based research among faculty, students, community organizations, and community residents.
