Dr. Ther Aung’s and Dr. Ash Sehgals’ Asthma and Gas Stoves project was accepted for publication. This project, which had been funded by the EPA, had been cancelled early due to shifting political administration interests. However, team was able to gather enough data, produce results, and submit for publication. It is set to be published in the The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice (Science Direct).

The Center for Health Equity Engagement Education and Research was established by Case Western Reserve University and MetroHealth Medical Center to reduce health disparities through research on root causes, mechanisms, and interventions; through education of students, providers, and policy makers; and through partnership with community organizations and government agencies.
The aims of this Core are to facilitate community based research among faculty, students, community organizations, and community residents.
